In this episode, I travel to Bristol to visit popular children’s author, Mark Lemon (@the_dad_author). I first came across Mark last year when he wrote a moving piece for The Guardian newspaper detailing the murder of his father when he was just 12 years-old. Mark talks about the grief he’s suffered all his life and how he’s now using his experiences to help others through his charity links…
Man Talk, is my podcast that's helping to tackle men’s mental health and normalise the conversation.
I've battled with mental health issues for most of my adult life, but I'm now in a position where I feel strong enough to use my experiences to create a platform where men can talk openly about how mental health has effected them. Each episode sees me, chat to a range of guests who have experienced depression, anxiety, suicidal episodes, grief, PND and much more. Episodes are recorded on location, in the guests’ homes, the park, or in a local pub, thus setting the tone for a show that enables them to open up and help remove the stigmas and taboos that are associated with men’s mental health.
The show is produced in support of the charity, CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably).
Man Talk is available on iTunes and most of the regular platforms. Please subscribe to ensure you don’t miss an episode.
