In this episode, I visit Connor Magee (@dads_and_donts), and over coffee in his leafy Surrey garden, we chat about his PND (Postnatal Depression). Connor is a father to two and works in finance. Speaking about his experiences in such a public forum is very much a first for Connor, so to hear him talking so openly about how it has affected him and his relationship with his son, says a lot not only about his personal bravery but also about how far we’ve come when it comes to men opening up...
Man Talk, is my podcast that's helping to tackle men’s mental health and normalise the conversation.
I've battled with mental health issues for most of my adult life, but I'm now in a position where I feel strong enough to use my experiences to create a platform where men can talk openly about how mental health has effected them. Each episode sees me, chat to a range of guests who have experienced depression, anxiety, suicidal episodes, grief, PND and much more. Episodes are recorded on location, in the guests’ homes, the park, or in a local pub, thus setting the tone for a show that enables them to open up and help remove the stigmas and taboos that are associated with men’s mental health.
The show is produced in support of the charity, CALM (the Campaign Against Living Miserably).
